1} How does where you live affect your music?
Radiantly! All of The Villainares live at close proximity to where we create which gives us more time to write life changing, love making, musical madness...
On a slightly more serious note it’s a collaboration of the many places we’ve been, lived, dreamed & would like to go to which affects our music....????

2} Has your band’s sound/ dynamics changed since you started out? Where do you see it headed?


Definitely....We feel, after endless broken G-strings & drumsticks we can almost bang out a sound which may resemble music......We’ll always be avid fans of a raw sound
or a two chord composition, Less is more.....The Avante Garde new sound.....

3} List any bands from the past/ present you identify with?

The Modern Lovers, Jonathon Richmond, The Velvet Underground, Lou Reed, The Kinks, The Standells, The Zombies, The Animals, Robert Jonhnson, Leadbelly, John Lee Hooker, Donavon, J.J Cale, Beatles, Cream, Stones, Bowie, Silver Jews, Pavement, The Go Betweens, The Church etc

4} If you could record or tour anywhere where would it be?
We are simple men with simple pleasures so a lousy old dark warehouse/basement would suit us fine. It would complement our unpolished aesthetic.

5}How would you use the prize?


Hate to be cliché here so we won’t. To be morally incorrect we would spend it on ourselves, fancy coats & rare vintage adornments perhaps....
