Polo Club Take Melbourne!

Happy Days! Melbourne City locals Polo Club, were crowned last night's winners at the first heat of MTV's Kickstart!

But it's not over yet, Polo Club will still  have to slog it out against the other state representatives at the Kickstart Grand Final to be held in Sydney on September 9.

The Melbourne twosome, Producer/MC Urban Monk and Producer Camelot the Cameleon, were voted the favourites by the expert panel of judges Joel Ma from TZU, Andrew Mast from Street Press Australia, Simon Winkler from RRR and MTV Marketing Manager, Sam Coombes.  Polo Club had some stiff competition - Hoshi in the Clouds, Foxx on Fire, Complimentary Headsets and Greyhound Lane were all vying to take the winner's crown, and all performed knockout sets making the judges decision a hard one!

Said guest judge Joel Ma from band TZU,"Melbourne! Full of talent. The judges almost tore their hair out withindecision but settled on the originality and production skills of PoloClub who we all agreed are the next big thing."

On September 9 the finalists from each city will head to Sydney to battle city against city during a televised 'Kickstart Final' to be held at iconic MTV venue, 'The Lair'. 

Good times ahead people... The finalists will be posted on the MTVKickstart website where you can get in on the action by voting for yourfavourite artist at www.mtv.com.au/kickstart.

Voting will commence on September 15 and will be open until October 10. 

The MTV Kickstart winner will be announced live online at www.mtv.com.au/kickstart on October 15 @ 8:00pm so keep it locked ya'll!
