The Mischief Win It In Sydney

It was another night of musical pandemonium on the weekend at the Sydney Kickstart Finals, held at held at MTV's gritty pit of melodies and mayhem, The Lair!  

Hosted at local hotspot the Oxford Art Factory, The Mischief were voted the favourites by the expert panel of judges – Sam Pearton from The Scare, Magda Tomaszewski from Chugg Entertainment, Alex Pye from FBI Radio, Mark Nielson from Drum Media and Simone Stopford, Senior Manager Talent and Artist Relations at MTV.

The Mischief took out the crown in a sweat-soaked epic battle against The Magic Hands, The Wahas, Particles and Chaingang.

Said guest judge Sam Pearton from The Scare. “It was such a tough choice but in the end The Mischief had a really great feel; exciting and very meaningful. I can see them going on to do great things. Congratulations.”

The Sydney locals the Mischief will now join Polo Club from Melbourne; The Moderns from the Gold Coast; Skye Harbour from Adelaide; Emcee Able from Perth and the Rocketsmiths from Brisbane at the Kickstart Grand Final co hosted by MTV VJ Ruby Rose and The Vines’ drummer, Hamish Rosser in a bid to win the Kickstart Grand Prize.
